Team Make Up Criteria Explained

To try and keep our leagues/divisions as fun, fair and competitive as possible a team MUST NOT have more than 2 Players whose personal Player Ratings are higher than the Division the team are playing in.

Correct Team Make Up

Jets want to play in Division 3 League and are made up of two players Rated 2 and five players rated 3 or below

Wrong Team Make Up

Hoops wants to play in Division 3 League and are made up of three players Rated 2 and four players Rated 3 or below

If a team has a player or would like to add a player who is rated 2 divisions higher than the division that the team play in, then they would need to seek approval from Netball Fun League, contact us below

You cannot Ring! This is the process to follow…

All new players are required to get a Provisional Player Rating in their first match. You can join a team and start playing before you’re rated — but you cannot ring (fill in for other teams) until your rating has been confirmed.

How It Works

  • Join your team online before your first match.
  • During your first match, simply ask one of the umpires to assess you.
  • The umpire will send your Provisional Rating to Head Office (they will not tell you your rating on the day — so please don’t ask! ).
  • Ratings are processed every Friday if you haven’t received your rating by the following Friday, please get in touch with Head Office via Contact Us Page – click here
  • Once your rating is confirmed, you’ll receive a WhatsApp message and your Player Profile will be updated automatically — and then you’ll be free to ring (in line with our Ringers Rule based on your rating – read about this – click here)

A players’ ability is judged upon different characteristics that span across all positions (Delivery of passes, spacial awareness, ability to work with others) as well as positional specific attributes such as shooting accuracy, defence of a shot. This takes into account any team member that plays a number of positions.

Do Player Ratings Change?
Yes of course they do. Over time players inevitably improve and we will constantly try to keep on top of ratings and adjust in accordance with progress. Likewise, should a player for any reason no longer be of a higher standard, we can adjust.

You do this by logging into your Personal Player Profile, when logged in it is shown. Click this link: https://tinyurl.com/4ch5bn4h
