Registering a Brand New Team

If your team hasn’t played with Netball Fun League before , or is a brand new team – where more than 3 members do not already have a current Netball Fun League Personal Player Rating — we will need to assess your team’s playing standard before you can register to a league. This helps us make sure you’re matched with teams of a similar level, so that everyone enjoys competitive and fair games.

Typically our Seasons are 21-24 weeks long, this sometimes does vary depending on number of teams/venue availability etc. Sometimes there is no break between seasons, or if there is then usually only a week.

A Team DOES NOT have to pay for a full season upfront!

Each new season there is a Team Registration Fee of £24.50. Team Match Fee is £35 (£38.50 from Winter 2026). Umpire Fee is £10 per match. The Match Fee is collected automatically from the Team Account Holder after a match, the Umpire Fee is cash only and paid directly to an Umpire at your match.

These do vary by venue/league (due to court availability) but they mostly start from 6:30pm and last matches at 9:20pm – matches are not the same time every week as match times are rotated within the league, example, one week your match time would be 6:40pm, the next week it could be 7:20pm etc.

During our Autumn/Winter Season matches are indoors, however in Spring/Summer (because of school exams) some matches will be played outdoors… however… rain does NOT necessarily mean STOP PLAY. We have a “Outdoor Weather/Match Cancellation” policy, you can read it here: https://tinyurl.com/4kzp6df6

There is no maximum age, that would depend on how fit/able you are (we do have a lady playing who is in her early 70’s!!!)

Minimum age for an individual to play in a team is 14, and all players under the age of 18 must first be approved by Netball Fun League Head Office and must have a Parent or Guardian complete our online Parental Consent Form before being able to play any matches or join our skill sessions. We take the safety and wellbeing of all our players seriously, and this process ensures we have the correct information and permissions in place for our younger participants.

It really doesn’t matter how long it’s been or how fit/unfit you are 🙂 you could start off by joining one of our popular Back2Netball Sessions and go back to basics. Yes, we have League Winners T-Shirts and League Runners Up Medals. We also have Player of the Season Awards for 1 player per team in every league. During a season our Umpires will nominate a Player of the Match for a game and enter this along with the match results. At the end of the season these nominations are totalled up, should there be a tie, the Team Organiser/Team or even Umpires will decide an overall winner.
