When do registrations open?

Registrations for the new season open on Late August. Existing teams are given priority during the initial registration period before any remaining places are released to new teams.

When do registrations close?

Registrations remain open until the advertised closing date or until a league reaches capacity. We always recommend registering as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Will there be space for new teams?

We always try to accommodate new teams wherever possible. Some leagues fill very quickly, while others have more availability. Registering early gives you the best chance of securing your preferred playing night and division.

Can my team move to a different league or playing night?

Yes. During registration you can register for any league your team prefers, as long as your team make up criteria fits that league.

How are promotions and relegations decided?

League movements are based on final league positions, overall team strength, current player ratings, league sizes, teams joining or leaving the league, and creating balanced and competitive divisions. Winning a division doesn’t always guarantee promotion, and finishing near the bottom doesn’t always mean relegation.

Our players have been re-rated. Which division should we register in?

Your team’s division should reflect the overall standard of your current squad, taking into account your players’ latest NFL ratings. If you’re unsure which division is most appropriate, please contact us by clicking this link: https://bitl.to/5x5Z before registering and we’ll be happy to advise.

We don’t have enough players yet. Should we wait before registering?

No. We strongly recommend registering your team first to secure your place in the league. You can continue recruiting additional players before the season starts.

Can Netball Fun League help us find players?

Absolutely! We can promote your team on our social media channels and you can add your team to our live ‘Teams Looking for Players’ section on our website click this link: https://tinyurl.com/ye6bu37v many teams successfully recruit players between registration and the start of the season.

We’re losing players and aren’t sure we’ll have enough. Should we still register?

Yes. Almost every team changes from season to season. Registering secures your place while you continue recruiting. We’d much rather help you build your squad than see you lose your place altogether.

Can we add players after we’ve registered?

Yes. Your squad doesn’t have to be complete when you register. New players can be added before and throughout the season, subject to the normal player registration and team make up criteria rules. Click this link https://tinyurl.com/mry4arcj to learn more.

Can we change our playing day after we’ve registered?

Possibly. If you need to move to a different league after registering, please contact us as soon as possible contact us by clicking this link: https://bitl.to/5x5Z. We’ll always try to accommodate your request, but this will depend on availability.

Can we withdraw if we change our minds?

By registering, your team is committing to the upcoming season in accordance with the Netball Fun League Terms & Conditions. If you’re unsure about registering, please contact us by clicking this link: https://bitl.to/5x5Z before completing your registration.

Can we merge with another team?

Yes, in many cases. If two teams would like to combine into one squad, please contact us by clicking this link: https://bitl.to/5x5Z before registering so we can advise on the best way to manage the registration.

How many players should we register?

You can have up to 10 players registered to your team, as long as they all fit the team makeup criteria. Click this link https://tinyurl.com/mry4arcj to learn more, having a larger squad helps cover holidays, injuries and other absences throughout the season.

What if our captain/team organiser changes before the season starts?

That’s absolutely fine. Just let us know as soon as possible by clicking this link: https://bitl.to/5x5Z so we can update our records and ensure all league communications are sent to the correct person.

What if we need a ringer for our first match?

That’s not a problem. As with all matches, any ringer must meet the current Netball Fun League Player Rating Rules for your division.

What happens if my preferred league is full?

We’ll always discuss the available options with you. This may include another division, a different venue, a different playing night, or joining a waiting list if appropriate.

When will fixtures be released?

Fixtures are usually published the week before the season starts, once registrations have closed and league structures have been finalised.

Why can’t you confirm my venue before I register?

Many of our leagues operate as Multi Venue Leagues (MVLs). Final venue allocations depend on the number of teams registered, league sizes, creating balanced divisions and venue availability. Wherever possible, we aim to keep each division at a single venue, but this cannot always be guaranteed.

How do you decide who moves up or down?

Our aim is to create competitive, enjoyable leagues for everyone. While league position is an important factor, we also consider team strength, player ratings, league sizes, teams joining or leaving and overall league balance.

When will the Netball Fun League Smartphone App be available?

The new Netball Fun League App will be launching for the new season after more than a year of development. The app will make managing your team easier than ever, including finding ringers, viewing fixtures, accessing league information and much more. We’ll share full details before the new season begins. Note: (Prefer the website? No problem! You’ll still be able to log into your player profile via the website as usual to manage your profile, team and payments).
