Player Feedback
We know netball is good for you, but don't take our word for it, here's what our players think.
"It has been a great experience — after 47 years — to return to the sport I love. Despite having a hearing difficulty, it’s never impaired my ability to take part or enjoy the game — and everyone has been accepting and accommodating, which has made a huge difference"

"I’ll never forget my first game—I didn’t know the rules, felt totally lost, and ended up crying because I thought I was awful. What stood out most was how kind and encouraging everyone was. One lovely woman gave me a hug and reminded me not to be so hard on myself. That moment stuck with me."
— Julie
"I moved from Bournemouth late 2024 and wanted to continue playing netball. I found the Netball Fun League through my sister and joined - at that point I was lacking some confidence. My team members were fab and so were the umpires (shout out to Sarah and Becky)"
— Reem
"I joined almost a year ago but hadn’t played since school. I was nervous to get started again as so much had changed and I couldn’t remember the rules. I’m so glad that I started I picked it up so quickly and have enjoyed every moment since. The Umpires are so helpful and friendly and Charlotte is always there giving advice"

"Netball changed my life. 11 years ago after moving back to uk from the army, I joined to lose weight after my son... 11 years down, 9 stone gone. I’m out 4 nights a week either playing or umpiring, but the best thing is the most AMAZING friends I have made."

"September 2023 I saw an advert for Netball Fun League, I messaged Charlotte to enquire and have never looked back. The support I received at Back to Netball was amazing and inspired a real love of the game again. As well as the coaches and umpires being super lush, I have met some of the most lovely friends as well since then."

"I signed up to Back to Netball on a whim 2 days before it started so I could have a night off to escape a home renovation project. I didn't think it would lead to much and thought I’d be done after 6 weeks. Netball has taken over my life in the best way. The players, umpires and of course coaches are so friendly, it’s a wonderful community to belong to and I’m glad a took the plunge"

"I started just about a year ago after being a “netball mum” watching my daughter from the sidelines! One day I was speaking to Charlotte and she said give playing a go! I was like absolutely not I am to old and Unfit, I had not played team sports since school lol! I fell in love with Netball and now I am enjoying pushing myself out of my comfort zone. If I can do it anyone can 100%"

"I hadn't played netball since secondary school, and even back then, I didn't take it seriously since it was forced upon us in P.E. I then tried back-to-netball coaching + mini league in 2021 with Charlotte as coach and was surprised at how much I loved it! it's so fun and such great exercise. I'm now playing in div 4 with an amazing team I love both the exercise and social aspect. I'd recommend to everyone"
